For over 20 years, Indaba Weimaraners has produced quality weimaraners for field, show, and companionship. Kim Harter has bred multiple show, field, and obedience titled dogs that are also treasured family members.
My family started raising weimaraners in 1965 for the purpose of companion and hunting dogs. I have continued this tradition of maintaining the german style of weimaraner since 1985. My philosophy for breeding is to hold true to the original weimaraner both in form and function. I breed for versatility in hunting which means that my dogs work both land and water. I have dogs in hunting, performance, and pet homes in both the U.S. and Europe. I compete with my dogs in AKC Hunt Tests and NAVHDA. NAVHDA is as close as we have to field testing that simulates the german standard of performance. Having tried field trials in the early 80's, I believe that NAVHDA and higher levels of AKC Hunt Tests better test the versatility and overall hunting ability of the weimaraner.
